London and Milan Fashion Weeks–Designers went back to art school in a huge way this season. Runway looks incorporated everything from splatter paint prints (often in squeezed-from-the-tube saturated colors) to bold Calder-esque collages. Final touches included Abstract Expressionist-inspired painted leather, or appliqués that looked glued on a la a kid’s crafts class.
