Armitron a Sponsor for “ESPN The Party” Celebrating the Super Bowl

ESPN_THE_PARTY_LOGO_COLOR-300x185Long Island City, NY—Armitron, the popularly-priced watch brand by E. Gluck, has a long history of involvement with New York sports (it’s the official watch of the New York Yankees, for instance).

That connection is being reinforced on Friday, Jan. 31, when Armitron is one of the official sponsors of ESPN’s 10th annual Super Bowl Party, called “ESPN the Party.”

The invite-only event will be held in Manhattan and celebrates the love affair between sports and music. ESPN the Party will feature special performances by 2014 Grammy Award Nominees Robin Thicke and Kendrick Lamar along with music by Multiple Grammy Award Winner Jermaine Dupri.

‘New York State of Mind’ Theme

Guests can follow the action all night on ESPN’s microsite, @ESPNMag, and use the hashtag#ESPNTHEPARTY to chat with other fans as well as athletes, celebs, brands, and other VIPs. Guests and fans can also follow @ArmitronWatches for an inside look at what is sure to be a memorable event and use the hashtag #MAKETIME to keep track of all the action.

“We are honored to join ESPN in conjunction with ESPN the Party in its celebration of the biggest weekend in sports. This union, that has been developed over years of mutual success, expresses the foundation of our brand to be on the leading edge of sports timekeeping,” said Jerry Dikowitz, senior vice president of marketing at E.Gluck.

ESPN will take over Lower Manhattan’s Pier 36/Basketball City–just a few miles from MetLife Stadium, host of Super Bowl XLVIII. Guests will mingle with athletes, celebrities, and ESPN talent amid the “New York State of Mind”-themed décor including a 40-foot red carpet; bright lights, skyscrapers, and a starry skyline.

“We are excited to partner with Armitron Watches for this year’s event and for years to come. During the biggest weekend in sports, this union is a natural collaboration bringing lifestyle and fashion to the world of sports and music,” added ESPN.
