Holiday 2013 Shopping Deals: Beyond Black Friday

Cyber MondayLos Angeles—With just 25 days between Black Friday and Christmas, down from 32 last year, and four weekends, not five, expect retailers to crank up the promotions and deals ahead of key shopping days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

According to its annual guide that helps consumers navigate the holiday shopping seasons,, an online source for coupons, deals and expert-shopping tips, today unveiled the 2013 Best Times to Buy Holiday Gifts guide.

Shop for Apparel, Accessories on Cyber Monday

To determine the best times to buy the most popular holiday gifts, analyzed more than 1.5 million deals from 25,000 retailers and polled leading consumer and shopping experts. The data reveals that in addition to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there are several other peak sale periods during which consumers should be shopping to maximize their savings. Additionally, the guide provides clarity around what constitutes a good deal in gift categories ranging from electronics to toys.

In the case of clothing and accessories, found the best time to buy apparel and accessories—including shoes, jewelry and handbags—will be Cyber Monday with all the major online retailers offering significant site-wide deals. However, the highest volume of deals will be leading up to Christmas Day, from December 15 to 24. As the days go on, the quantity of deals will go down, but the percentage off will go up.
