Shoe Carnival hopes to raise $100,000 this month for breast cancer research

Evansville, IN —The emphasis at Shoe Carnival, the 370+ chain of family footwear stores, is usually on the feet. But as part of Shoe Carnival’s goal to raise more than $100,000 toward Breast Cancer Research this month, pink wristbands will be on sale.

“This campaign to increase awareness of the disease touches the lives of so many people and families,” said Lisa Rosenbaumm  Shoe Carnival vice president of womens’ footwear and accessories. “We are thrilled to participate and aid in the research and critical funding to detect this disease in its early stages and lead to a cure!”

Throughout October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shoe Carnival will be offering the pink bands to clients in its U.S. locations which boast the store’s blend of open floor plan, upbeat music and friendly associates.The pink bands retail for $1 with all proceeds going to breast cancer research.
