As part of its promotion “The Handbag Narratives,” a two-month-long campaign celebrating the best in arm candy, the British retailer has teamed up with 20 leading leathergoods brands to celebrate their style with giant versions of their iconic handbags—some so large they not only would hold the contents of all your handbags, but much of your household as well.
In most cases, Harrods highlights one of the designer bags specially made for Handbag Narratives, all in limited quantities.
Slated to run through August 24, Handbag Narratives will showcase “sensational stories through beautiful bags.” Many designers will be on hand for special appearances and events. Coach even hosted a New York-themed cocktail party inside the boutique today. Bespoke monogramming services also are being offered during the promotions.
Among the brands participating in “The Handbag Narratives” include Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Burberry, Chloe, Coach, DKNY, Fendi, Ferragamo, Gucci, Loewe, Mulberry, MCM, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Prada, Rebecca Minkoff, See by Chloe, Sophie Hulme, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham.
