Minneapolis–Target has announced its latest designer collaboration: Phillip Lim. The apparel and accessories collab will hit most Target stores and Target.com on September 15, 2013.

“Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution,” said the award-winning Phillip Lim. “One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire–one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible.”

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target will be rooted in a classic fall palette of neutral tones and prints. Featuring more than 100 items, the line will retail from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories. Standout pieces include bags, dresses and a trench coat for women. Travel accessories, like a duffel or multipurpose pouches for women and men, round out the collection.

“Phillip is a designer we’ve had our eye on for years. His aesthetic is modern and sophisticated, and he shares Target’s vision of democratizing design,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of merchandising, Target. “This fall, 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target will offer our guests a compelling reason to update their wardrobes, with an assortment of versatile, beautifully tailored must-haves for both women and men.”

Phillip Lim is a New York-based designer. He debuted the 3.1 Phillip Lim label, which he cofounded with friend and fabric supplier Wen Zhou, in 2005 at New York Fashion Week. In 2006, Lim was nominated as a finalist for the prestigious Fashion Fund Award by VOGUE and the CFDA. Lim also was honored by the CFDA with the Emerging Talent Award for Ready-to-Wear, accepting Womenswear in 2007 and Menswear in 2012. Additionally, 3.1 Phillip Lim has received a nomination from the CFDA for 2013 Accessory Designer of the Year.
