Are Floral Wreaths the New “Friendship” Accessory?

Indio, CA–Are floral wreaths the new friendship bracelet?

Flowers were the crowning accessory–literally–at Coachella music festival, usually showing up in pairs, as if girls wove them into each other’s hair.

Will friendship wreaths replace the ubiquitous, and possibly over-exposed, friendship bracelet?

Celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, AnnaSophia Robb and actress Bella Thorne showed their Flower Power by wearing flowers in their hair or on their accessories, like Robb’s sunglasses.

Fans also got into the action, either weaving a crown of fresh flowers picked along the way (or purchased at a local florist), or fashioning a wreath out of silk flowers. Here, a DIY tutorial on Nordstrom’s blog.

Either way, fresh flowers were a nice throwback to when music festivals were all about free love and free-spirited fun, not the more calculated, product-placement and social media extravaganza that many have become.
