Item of the Day

OK, Greece might be having its share of economic problems, but that hasn’t dimmed its electric blue skies, endless turquoise blue seas and vivid whitewashed stucco walls. Nor has it dimmed our fantasies about that cruise on the Aegean Sea.

For those of us not traveling anywhere near the Mediterranean in the near future, this Lotus Necklace in Aegean Blue by designer Lele Sadoughi might just be the next best thing.

The piece is actually inspired by the lotus flower and designer Lele Sadoughi gave it a structural twist with a nod to Art Deco.

At first glance, it seems to capture the trendy geometric enamel trend, but on closer inspection you’ll see it’s actually reconstituted stones constructed of marble and howlite ground up and made into custom shapes.

All the more reason to love it.
