Los Angeles—We’d guess that with all those paparazzi flashes going off incessantly, you’d learn a thing or two about the value of sunglasses. Evidently that’s the case with the Kardashian sisters (you remember them? Kim, Kourtney and Kloe?).
The enterprising trio, who sell their Kardashian Kollection of ready-to-wear and accessories to Sears, introduced their eyewear and prescription sunglasses in Sears stores last summer.
Now Sears Optical, a division of Luxottica Retail, has opened an online boutique (www.searsoptical.com/kardashian) to expand distribution of the Kardashian eyewear to a wider audience beyond its stores.
Produced by Jupi Corp. and Inspecs USA, a design and eywear company, the Kardashian Kollection Eyewear includes sunglasses (retail $99.99) and eyeglasses ($119.99). Eight styles in six colorways will sold online. All sunglasses will be sold with a non-prescription sun lens with UVA protection, featuring clear plastic anti-reflective lenses.
“The addition of the Kardashian Kollection Eyewear to stores nationwide has appealed to both new and existing customers,” said Lana Krauter, president of Sears Apparel. “We’re thrilled to make the collection accessible to more shoppers. Providing an option to purchase online was essential in ensuring the availability to reach the Kardashian brand fan base.”
Sears Optical is offering free domestic shipping and for a limited time, a free eyewear case with every purchase.
