The Academy Award-winning actress has been chosen as the new face of Loewe’s advertising campaign. According to the LVMH-owned Spanish luxurygoods brand, Cruz is “the perfect Loewe ambassador, representing all our brand values: passion, authenticity and excellence.”
Stuart Vevers, who has been Loewe’s creative director since 2008, added, “As a designer, Penelope’s powerful, sensual beauty has been a source of inspiration and a constant reference for my ideal Spanish woman ever since I arrived at Loewe.”
Cruz, in fact, has become a popular spokesperson in recent years. She and her sister, Monica, previously had designed and modeled a complete collection for Mango, the Spanish fast fashion brand.
Founded in 1846, Loewe represents the excellence and expertise of leather tanning and workmanship. Its products, including the legendary Amazona bag, can be found in 170 boutiques around the world. Spain and Japan account for 60% of its annual volume.
