The Jenner sisters announced Tuesday that they, too, will be entering the fashion business, inking a deal with Majestic Inc., to collaborate on a “complete brand launch encompassing apparel, footwear and accessories.” Described as “a full range of trendy California lifestyle,” their collection will launch first in the United States before going global.
Even at a young age, the Jenners have been steeped in marketing savvy. Besides their exposure in their family’s hit reality TV series, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” they have appeared as models in Teen Vogue, Nordstrom, Paper Magazine etc. and signed endorsement deals with OPI Nicole Nailpolish and Venus Gillette Razors. Their teen fashion clout also got them both positions as West Coast fashion contributors for Seventeen magazine.
“We love fashion and always get asked what we are wearing. So when we got the chance to design our line with Majestic Mills we were thrilled! We think it will reflect our casual chic style that we wear everyday and now so can our fans. We’re really excited by the entire design process and can’t wait to see our creations in stores!” said Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
For Majestic, which has specialized in product development and manufacturing for European designer collections and celebrity licensing, the Jenner collaboration marks the company’s first foray into teen fashion. One of Majestic’s best known celebrity licenses is House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie.
“It is a natural fit for us to work with Kendall and Kylie, and we look forward to expanding upon our avant-garde and trendy fashion collections,” said Brian Cytrynbaum, Majestic’s president/ceo.
