Item of the Day

No, despite the first impression you get from her latest sterling silver ring design, Spanish jewelry designer Glenda López isn’t a little batty. Though she admits a “dark and mystic” side, López—who’s fond of depicting animals in her jewelry—specifically selected a bat as the subject of her “The Nightly Ring.” Bats after all are the subject of legends and “they can see through the darkness.” (This one is seen flying through that darkness, wings spread, hence the double ring.) Of course, we can’t help thinking of vampire bats, which means either we may be going batty or just getting into the Halloween spirit.
