Breaking Trends Spring 2013: Plastic Fantastic

Milan Fashion Week—Fendi and Prada are two Italian labels that love accessories and we couldn’t be happier about this cheery trend they are putting forth: Plastic Fantastic. A mashup of various retro eras, from Mod to 80s, look for applied plastic elements aligned in neat configurations. From Fendi’s pyramid studded loafer heels and pill-popping clutches to Prada’s flower power eyewear, the look is sharp, graphic and textural but always with a wink.
