Item of the Day

We’re always proud to promote artisans from around the world, particularly those in Fair Trade situations. These colorful wooden bangles, marking the debut of Jan Lewis Designs, utilize Indian artisans to create eye-popping, lightweight bangles.

While Lewis designed the patterns herself while on the road with her musician husband Ramsey Lewis, she traveled the world to find the best artists to bring her intricate pattern repeats to life.

Retails range from $80 to $100, and the various shapes—round, square, triangular, octagonal—make stacking infinitely more interesting. Plus, the dots and dashes are slightly raised to add texture play as well.

If you want to check them out before purchasing, Jan Lewis will be featuring her pieces at a trunk show this October 12 to 13 at Bloomingdale’s Michigan Avenue store in Chicago.
