Item of the Day

When it comes to our relationship status with lace, it’s complicated.

We love it when it’s delicate and sweet, but we lust it when it’s edgy and dark. It can make us feel at turns brilliantly baroque or haute hippie, and as it usually comes in black or white, it appeals to our angels and demons alike.

But this bad boy interpretation by jewelry designer Adia Kibur seems to defy all conventional description, which must be why we love it most of all.

With a definite nod to the baroque, this statement necklace is actually a bunch of interlocked pieces—half gold, half silver—that form one bold creation. The construction also gives it some fluidity, so it moves with the wearer’s body.
