Swarovski Blings a New Category: Helmets

New York—Just when you thought there wasn’t one more surface left untouched by those gorgeous, sparkly Swarovski Elements, the mega crystal manufacturer has found yet another item to adorn. And with so many eyes on athletes and sports style during the Summer Olympics, it actually fits nicely into the current sports/fashion mood.

To demonstrate how motorbike riding, cycling, horseback riding and ski helmets would look turned into fashion items, Swarovski staged an exhibit at the recent Accessorie Circuit show to show off the latest creations to retailers, manufacturers and media.

Embellished designs by Andrea Cardone, Kask, New Max, and Tonino Lamborghini from Italy; Casco from Germany; Nexx from Portugal; Samshield from France; and Yakkay from Denmark will all be retailed through each brand’s respective distribution network.

In case you missed the exhibition, you can also catch the helmets at the “Timeless Stage” exhibition, held at Swarovski’s Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Austria, from September to November 2012.
