You ought to know by now how mad we are for tortoise looks, one of the trending animal themes that you’re going to continue to see through this fall.
But leave it to Edward Beiner, the Brazilian-born eyewear entrepreneur (he’s a designer, retailer and a manufacturer) to come up with a new version of tortoise in his retro-inspired sunglasses and eyewear.
Besides the traditional brown shades of tortoise, Beiner lightens things up with a golden version he calls blond tortoise.
Like all his Italian-made zyl acetate frames, this aviator style is based upon classics from the 50s to 70s updated with a heavy dose of glamour via Florida’s Gold Coast, where Beiner’s stores are situated.
The translucent frames glow in the sunlight as if they were lit from within.
We just have to admit it: Blondes do have more fun.
