New York–Have a question for Tory Burch on the success of her fashion, accessories and lifestyle brand?
You can ask it at the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) Metropolitan Chapter’s annual “Spring Fling,” where Burch will be speaking.
The event, held Wednesday, May 18, from 6 pm to 8 pm, is open to both WJA members and non-members and is held in conjunction with Marie Claire magazine at the Hearst Tower in New York.
Burch will discuss building—and maintaining—a brand in today’s economy, drawing on her own experience of her eponymous brand, created seven years ago. Today, her collection includes ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear and jewelry and is sold at 50 freestanding Tory Burch boutiques, toryburch.com, and over 500 department and specialty stores worldwide.
To put the growth in perspective, Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles will then join Burch at the podium to discuss brand building in general and the challenges facing all designers today.
Guests will also get a preview of fall’s hot trends by Marie Claire fashion editors. Some lucky pre-registered guests will even get a private tour of the Hearst Tower, including a visit to the famed Good Housekeeping test kitchen, before the event commences.
