It’s easy to tell that handbag designer Valeria Smith was trained as a graphic designer. Her bold handbags feature clean lines, sharp colors arranged in perfect harmony and lots of graphic patterns.

Basically, a self-proclaimed “2D design approach to 3D objects.”

After three years of success in her native country of Argentina with her eponymous handbag, shoe and accessories line, Smith recently decided to try her hand in America with a flagship store in Soho, New York.

As she has a background in brand strategy—both here and in Buenos Aires—we’re expecting she knows how to make this a success. Designed with Italian fabric, lush suede and patent leather, all are designed and handcrafted in Buenos Aires.
