Adding to its massive roster of licensed brands, Safilo Group has just launched Tommy Hilfiger, just in time for the brand’s 25th anniversary.
The introductory collection features 15 unisex/men’s styles and three dedicated women’s styles. All capture the brand’s neo-preppy styling and Americana heritage.
To commemorate the Tommy Hilfiger brand’s 25th anniversary, the TH 1985 women’s style (shown) features the year the brand was founded. The “TH 1985” sunglass style in acetate features a geometric vintage shape that evokes the ’80s. The iconic Tommy Hilfiger flag appears on the left temple tip, while the HILFIGER logo is printed near the endpiece. The style is available in iconic colors such as white with blue/red/white temples and blue with white/blue/red temples, as well as dark pink with cream temples, and classic colors such as black, dark Havana and khaki with dark Havana temples.
Other styles are also inspired by American preppy heritage, while metal aviator shapes capture a retro feel that is so contemporary today. Laminates on the acetate frames allow for color layering in a subtle ways.
Retails range from $125 to $175.
