Item of the Day

Known for its boldly colored scarves, Sir Alistair Rai has recently introduced a line of jewelry. Drawing from a variety of cultures and locales, the collection is aptly named “The Wanderlust Collection” (and no, this has nothing to do with the Jennifer Aniston/Paul Rudd movie).

In this introduction, Sir Alistair Rai combines earthen elements with spiritual symbols for a “trendy, yet purposeful” jewelry collection. Bangles, earrings, necklaces and friendship bracelets incorporate wood, Yak bone and recycled fabric that reflects the spiritual mantras for which the brand is known (many of the scarves have messages, mantras and symbols on them).

The line reaches to Nepal and India for inspiration, “embodying the fascination we experience when traveling to somewhere magical…if only in our daydreams.”

We love this Butterfly necklace, which drapes around the neck and flutters with the movement of the body. Kind of like…a scarf!

Retail: $30.
