2012 Fashion’s Night Out Opens Retailer Registration

New York—This year’s Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) may not be until Sept. 6, but the annual celebration of the U.S. fashion industry is looking for a few good retailers.

Starting this week, FNO is opening up registration for retailers, and e-tailers, to sign up to participate in this year’s shopping events.

In 2011, hundreds of retailers in more than 250 cities and more than 300 e-tailers participated in hosting shoppers, celebrities, designer appearances, special products, fashion games and musical performances.

In conjunction with registering for FNO, participating retailers will be able to order the 2012 edition of the FNO collection, women’s and men’s tops and tote bags, commemorating the event. As in past years, 40% of the proceeds will benefit the New York City AIDS Fund in the Community Trust. (So far, FNO has raised more than $1 million in the fight against AIDS).

The new FNO collection has a bolder graphic logo and will be available in the following options:

• Women’s short-sleeved tee in black/white, red/white, or blue/white. Suggested retail, $25

• Women’s long-sleeved in black/gray. Suggested retail, $30

• Men’s short-sleeved tee in black/white or black/gray. Suggested retail, $30

• Canvas tote in black/cream. Suggested retail, $50
