New York–Those lucky enough to attend Zac Posen’s Z Spoke runway show during Fashion Week will get a peek at his new handbag line, launched with Mondani. (Those who haven’t scored a seat can see it here first!)
The contemporary designer has been adding layers to his House of Z, capturing “minimalist chic” an an accessible pricepoint. The newest addition is the Z Spoke handbag collection, initially debuting at Saks Fifth Avenue, yet expanding distribution in Spring 2011.
“The Z Spoke bag is a ‘girl’s girl’ bag–it strikes a balance between a clean utilitarian look and casual femininity” quotes Posen.
The handbag collection features Z Spoke’s fabrics and signature prints from ready-to-wear, plus Italian leathers. The color palette introduced Fall 2010 consists of warm neutral tones of grays and camels with pops of purple and yellow. Textured prints, signature logos and stripes complete the assortment.
One highlight is the signature ‘scarf-tied’ details included on most silhouettes from top-handle satchels to relaxed crossbody bags. Pricepoints start at $225 and go up to $650.
