Minneapolis–Target has joined forces with Disney Consumer Products (DCP) to unveil a new line of apparel and accessories called D-Signed.

The collection, which will be available at Target stores across the country and online beginning August 1, is targeted at tween girls in sizes from four to 16.

The clothes and accessories are inspired by Disney Channel characters like Sonny Munroe from “Sonny With A Chance”, but do not depict the characters themselves, instead drawing on their general look and personality.

“Tween girls want fashionable clothes that express their individuality and style, but that moms approve of,” said Pam Lifford, executive vice president, global fashion and home at DCP. “Our D-Signed collection at Target brings it all together in a way that allows young girls to express their fashion sense with quality clothing at budget-friendly prices.”

Sonny Munroe Inspires Launch Collection

The first installment of D-Signed is inspired by the personal style of the Sonny Munroe character from Disney Channel’s popular television series “Sonny With A Chance.” Retailing from $4.99 to  $19.99, the Sonny Munroe “D-Signed” collection includes: embellished graphic tees, skirts, dresses, pants, knit dresses, shorts, fashion tops and jackets, headbands, necklaces and bags.

This initial collection will be available for three months, followed by a second assortment of apparel and accessories from the Sonny Munroe collection available at Target in time for the holiday selling. Future collections of D-Signed will include fashions based on the style of other popular Disney Channel characters including Alex Russo played by Selena Gomez on “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

The fashion line and its mix-and-match versatility are featured in this new YouTube music video from Disney Living featuring Demi Lovato’s song “Me, Myself, and Time” and directed by filmmaker Ross Ching.
