New York—Not A-list enough to get into live fashion shows in New York? Fear not. The Fashion Center and 30 top fashion designers have teamed up to bring the catwalk to the general public in a unique public-arts fashion event.

The Fashion Center Sidewalk Catwalk features a line of custom-built mannequins walking down Broadway in the heart of New York’s Fashion District (between Times Square and Herald Square), dressed in specially created designer duds (from 30 of New York’s leading designers and two student design teams). The project is presented by LF USA with retail partner Macy’s.

The event is open and free to the public and runs through September 3.

Created by The Fashion Center Business Improvement District, this high-profile installation showcases the vitality and creative spirit of the industry in a unique outdoor setting on the public plazas of Broadway in the heart of Manhattan.
