Trollbeads Opens People’s Bead Design Competition

"Rolling Waves," the 2011 People's Bead winning design by Denise Tong

Princeton, NJ–Add-a-bead jewelry company Trollbeads is inviting customers around the world to enter its People’s Bead 2012 competition.

This is the fourth consecutive year the company has held the competition, where contestants submit designs based on a theme, which is then interpreted as a bead.

Each year plays off a different theme, and the 2012 theme is “Share Your Spirituality.” This will give contestants a chance to show what spirituality means to them—personally or culturally—and show how it translates into the the shape of a bead.

To enter, visit and click the “Events” tab. You can then upload and submit your design.

Of all submitted designs, 100 beads will be chosen for the final voting to be displayed on the site.

There will be multiple winners.

  • January 9: People’s Bead Event starts
  • February 1: Event closes for submissions
  • February 18 to 26: View finalists and vote
  • August 3: Winners are announced and Trollbeads Spiritual Collection is unveiled
