West Chester, PA—Known for his silver jewelry from Bali, designer John Hardy has teamed up with model and environmentalist Angela Lindvall to launch a line of “green” jewelry, exclusive to QVC.
The line is made entirely of recycled silver with oxidation, natural and Diamonique simulated gemstones and 14K gold accents. Lindvall, who is the “face” and spokesmodel for the John Hardy brand, has teamed up with the designer before for a collection called Hijau (“green” in Balinese).
The Angela by John Hardy Jewelry Collection is Hardy’s first foray onto the shopping channel, which has increasingly drawn designers who create exclusive collections. The segment will launch on QVC today, October 18, at midnight, 2 pm and 8 pm (Eastern Standard Time).
“Each piece in the Angela by John Hardy Jewelry Collection is truly a work of art,” says Doug Howe, executive vice president of merchandising, planning and sales for QVC. “With its stunning designs and impeccable attention to detail, this exciting new line is sure to become an instant favorite among shoppers. Angela by John Hardy Jewelry Collection features a wide variety of styles, from oversized cocktail rings and bangle bracelets to elegant everyday pieces, including stud earrings and station necklaces. Prices will range from $79 to $500.
“Angela has been working with us for the past two years. She has been so passionate about sharing our core values that when she expressed her interest in starting her own line, it was obvious to me that we would work together and produce her creation,” says John Hardy CEO Damien Dernoncourt.
The collection will be available on www.QVC.com after the segment airs, as long as supplies last.
In other news, John Hardy relauched its e-commerce website today, (www.JohnHardy.com) which boasts “a seamless e-commerce and brand experience, featuring stunning product imagery and the online launch of several new sub-collections, including Cinta, the brand’s haute joaillerie collection, and its children’s and lifestyle home collections.”
In addition, the latest gold and sterling silver jewelry by Guy Bedarida, the company’s head designer and creative director, will be available for purchase. For this season, Bedarida took inspiration from his worldly travels and the natural surroundings of Bali to elaborate on the six core collections, Bamboo, Bedeg, Dot, Kali, Naga and Palu.
The brand also revealed for the first time an exclusive behind the scenes video of its fall advertising campaign, featuring Lindvall.
