Hammitt Los Angeles is known for its leather handbags punctuated with oversized flat rivets—all very edgy and very LA. Now, the company is embracing LA’s other side, you know, the convertible driving, hair in the breeze, beachgoing side.
“We are definitely ‘lightening up’ at Hammitt,” says CEO Tony Drockton, noting new collections in straw, fabric and colored jelly for spring (despite an overall commitment to leather).
As all Hammitt bags are named after iconic LA spots, this one is named after international airport LAX (because, after all, who says the beach you’re taking this bag to needs to be in LA?). Besides, this oversized jelly duffel is just what you need to jet-set off into the sunshine, whichever time zone you choose.
Just remember, everyone can see in… so pack wisely.
