Sydney, Australia—From Down Under to around the world: that’s the latest from Australian footwear brand Ukala Sydney, which reported this week securing key partnerships with a number of big name retailers in the United States and Europe.
Starting this month, Ukala’s fall/winter collection of footwear, many made from Australian Merino wool and natural suede, will be sold at Bon Ton and Stride Rite, as well as in specialty retail stores includingWilson’s Leather and Shoe Department. Ukala merchandise will also be available online at Piperlime, Amazon, Zappos and Macy’s.
Add 20 European Countries, Too
“We are very pleased with the rapid momentum Ukala has gained in the footwear market,” Michael Schaefer, Ukala’s brand manager, says. “Ukala has a clear distribution strategy in place, so if you are tired of being let down… Ukala can help with immediate delivery.”
In Europe, Ukala has also partnered with leading online retailers Sarenza.com and Amazon UK with products also available for purchase from premium specialty retailers including 40 USC stores and 200 selected Footlocker stores. Ukala will also expand its distribution into 20 countries across Europe for 2012, a key part of the brands strategy for growth.
Ukala’s classic, fashion and slipper collections are made with plush Australian Merino wool and are available in a range of best-selling fashion colors. Suggested retails for the new collection range from $39 to $109 and are available in women’s size 5 to 10. www.ukalasydney.com
