New York—Having made a name in contemporary leather handbags, Rebecca Minkoff LLC has been diversifying at a rapid clip. From brand extensions in apparel to footwear to mens (Ben Minkoff), the name has grown to become an ever-increasing lifestyle brand.
The latest division is R&Em, a “fun and flirty” non-leather handbag line initially launched at Macy’s but now rolling out to other retailers.
The company is quick to point out that Rebecca herself is not “involved in the design process in any way” and R&Em is developed by a separate in-house team, but it falls under the same parent company.
Materials include flat, washed and perforated PU, whipstitched straw with patent trim, and basketweave designs with colored trim.
Colors for spring are a sophisticated palette of Cashew, Curry, Navy, Rhubarb, Black and more. Retails all mostly under $100; cluches and minibags start at $75 and the largest totes reach up to $115.
