Los Angeles— Designer Takashi Endo shows rock and roll is here to stay with the U.S. debut of his premium clothing and accessories collection JUNKS Tokyo/Japan.
Endo has become a leading manufacturer in silkscreen technology with his use of quality fabrics, premium cuts, and tailored silhouettes for past and current brands such as Billionaire Boys Club and A Bathing Ape. After having success with these brands in the U.S. market, he decided to strike out on his own.
“This U.S. launch presents an excellent opportunity for me to inspire a new movement in the apparel creative process. I hope to merge my passion for American fashion with my commitment to sourcing the highest level of apparel construction and silk screen technology to U.S. audiences,” says Endo.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection launched this week with its core line including silkscreen printed men’s and women’s tees, tanks, hoodies, and tops adorned with rocker imagery—but we know you can’t be a true rock star unless you rock some serious accessories.
The edgy, rocker chic accessories line for men and women features handcrafted iconic and mythological creatures made from the finest metals like 18k gold, sterling silver and brass. The line features such items as handmade precious metal 9 millimeter bullet pendants, plated crests, angelic crosses, bullet key straps, keychains and denim caps.
Retail prices for the jewelry range from $400 to $1,150, keychains start at $200 and the denim caps come in at $60. The line will be sold at specialty retailers, and is already available on the brand’s e-commerce site, JUNKS.ne.jp.
